Position Overview
StaffNow is seeking a dependable Quality Control Trainee for a local position based in Davenport, IA. No prior quality assurance experience is required—full on-the-job training on precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, and gauges) is provided! If you have basic experience with simple hand tools and a tape measure (from work or personal/home projects) and want to learn a skilled technical trade, this position offers steady pay, paid travel time, and great long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials using visual inspection techniques and basic tools.

Perform light mechanical rework on non-conforming parts (grinding, drilling, tapping, sanding, de-rusting).

Travel to local off-site customer warehouses within the Quad Cities area as assigned.

Isolate defective parts and assist with inventory containment.

Maintain accurate inspection records and follow safety protocols.
Job Requirements & Qualifications

Basic experience using simple hand tools and a tape measure (work or home/DIY project experience welcome).

Local Travel Requirement: Frequent travel to local warehouses within 1 to 2 hours of the facility. All travel time is fully paid while clocked in on the shift, plus additional mileage reimbursement.

Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transport.

High reliability, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn new technical skills.
