Position Overview
StaffNow is currently seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Packer to join our core team for a night-shift role at a leading food production facility in Tolleson, AZ. This full-time position offers high earning potential with regular overtime, steady $24.48/hr pay, and a structured manufacturing setting. The Packer is responsible for operating packing line equipment, ensuring finished products (flour/grains) are accurately weighed, sealed, and labeled, and safely moving material pallets using forklifts. Key Responsibilities

Efficiently operate packing line equipment (check-weighers, stackers, bundlers, palletizers, tote packers, and stretch hooders) to meet daily output goals.

Ensure bags and totes are properly filled, weighed, sealed, labeled, and coded with correct product details.

Safely operate forklifts to pull pallets of flour/grain products from the line and move them to designated storage yards or warehouse sectors.

Utilize Scanwork/Scanworx systems to accurately scan products, monitor output, and track inventory movements for packing supplies and finished goods.

Repair pallets of finished product as needed, including replacing damaged bags and applying missing labels.

Strictly adhere to company safety rules, OSHA standards, and food production guidelines (including USDA regulations).

Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and communicate complex maintenance needs promptly to Management.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace across the production floor.
Job Requirements & Qualifications

Previous experience operating packing, packaging, or heavy production equipment preferred.

Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification as required).

Good verbal and written English communication skills for safety procedures and inventory tracking.

Basic math skills (with or without a calculator) and basic computer skills to operate scanning systems.

Must own and wear Steel-Toe Boots on the production floor.

Physical capability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, twist, bend, crouch, and frequently lift/move bags weighing up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work comfortably in a noisy manufacturing environment (>100 dB) with exposure to moving machinery, airborne dust/particles, and temperature extremes.

Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing to work alternating weekends and cover rotating shifts when required.
