Position Overview
StaffNow is seeking a reliable Quality Control Trainee to join our team in Dubuque, IA. No advanced quality inspection experience required! We provide full on-the-job training on precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, and gauges). This is an ideal position for someone with basic hands-on experience using simple hand tools and a tape measure (even from DIY or home projects) who wants to learn a valuable technical skill in a structured manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials using visual techniques and basic measuring tools.

Use hand tools (drills, sanders, grinders, taps) to clean, de-rust, or rework non-conforming parts.

Isolate defective parts and sub-assemblies as directed by the Team Leader.

Learn and apply quality control techniques through hands-on company training.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Job Requirements & Qualifications

Basic experience using simple hand tools and a tape measure (home, personal, or work experience accepted).

Strong reliability, punctuality, and a genuine desire to learn and grow.

Local Travel Note: Associates may occasionally be asked to travel to off-site local warehouses (usually within 1 hour). Travel time is 100% paid on the clock, plus mileage reimbursement.

Valid driver’s license required.
